The Exchange Hotel in Gordonsville, VA is a beautiful place to visit and it is steeped in history! The railroad ran right beside it, so The Exchange had to evolve through the years to keep up with the demand of the times. It started out as a high end hotel for the travelers getting off the passenger trains. These passengers would be served the famous Gordonsville Fried Chicken and it is said that sometimes they would ride that train to The Exchange just for that fried chicken! Later it was turned into a hospital to accommodate the soldiers who were wounded in battle. While it was a hospital, it also helped the newly freed slaves in the Freedman's Bureau, which was a school.
We so enjoyed looking through the exhibits here and that night in the paranormal realm, we were not disappointed a bit. We got to investigate the kitchen, which is separate from the hotel, the train depot, and then the hotel.

This is the train depot which is right next to the railroad tracks. They say that during the war, the soldiers bodies would be stacked to the ceiling in this building. Think about all the disease and how long it would sometimes take to bury them.
This was taken on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Two of us had just felt like someone rushed by us and someone immediately took a picture. Look in the doorway and see if you notice anything.

This was taken inside the train depot that night. We were doing an EVP session and taking pictures. We caught an orb in this photo on the upper right side.
